Platinum Information
Similar to titanium, platinum is used in jewelry in a near pure form. It also shares the trait of being long wearing and durable. Platinum was said to be discovered by the Spanish in the sixteenth century, unfortunately they considered it inferior to gold, they named it platina. Which translates to mean little silver, in recognition of its similarity in color to silver.
